The Grotto Creative

The Grotto’s mission focuses on three types of people: entrepreneurs, thinkers, and creatives. As the second floor developed through 2019, it became evident in order to have creatives use our space, the space itself needed to be more raw and moldable to encourage all types of visual creativity.

With our mission, and feedback from the community, in mind we opened The Grotto Creative in February 2021. It is on the fourth floor of the Rupp Building and contains four studios, three flex spaces, a fully equipped photo studio, and more.

The photo studio is the perfect spot for headshots, product or art photography, styled shoots and more! The studio is $30/hr and includes the following equipment that can be used:

• 12’ x 12’ Background Stand

• 86” x 18’ White, Black and Tech Green Seamless Background paper

• Kino Flo Light and accessories

• Aputure Light Storm LS300X Light kit and accessories

• 4 C Stands with arms and two 6” jaw vice grips

• 48” x 48” Floppy Cutter with top hinge

You can rent the studio by hour or we offer three different membership levels for the photo studio:

Grotto Creative: Basic Membership This membership includes 6 credit hours of studio time per month (less that $20/hr) with access weekdays, 9am - 5pm. $100/month

Grotto Creative: Mid-Membership This membership includes 15 credit hours of studio time per month. Use of 4th floor common areas and a fob for 24/7 access.
$210/month

Grotto Creative: Pro-Membership This membership includes 20 photo studio credit hours per month and a Grotto coworking hot desk with 24/7 access. Use of the mailing address and a dedicated mailbox. Also, includes a printing package and use of common areas.
$410/month

There are four private studios and two flex spaces on the fourth floor. All spaces have natural light and electricity. The studios can be customized, painted, and decorated to suit your work style and needs. All spaces include 24/7 access. There is a community microwave and mini-fridge on the floor.

We currently have one open studio on the 4th floor.
